Islamorada, Florida Keys is located southwest of Key Largo on Upper Matecumbe Key and is a scenic one hour drive from Miami. To the southeast, the warm tropical waters of the Gulf Stream ride, gently past this island chain bringing with it a bonanza of angling and diving opportunity. Sailfish, Swordfish, Dolphin (known as Mahi Mahi and Dorado), King Mackerel, Wahoo, Blue or White Marlin, Permit, Snapper (Mutton, Yellow Tail, Mangrove), Grouper (Black and Red), Amberjack and many more all call this part of the ocean home.

To the west, lie Florida Bay and the Everglades. The Bay’s hundreds of mangrove isles, expansive flats and endless wildlife create a shallow water fishing playground. Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Snook, Redfish, Trout and Sharks all roam this expansive terrain giving anglers fishing options unseen anywhere else. A visiting angler can, and is encouraged to explore both offshore and inshore while visiting.

Mild Weather conditions and a short running distance year round makes for comfortable fishing days.

October-January
The beginning of winter season brings NE winds on an average of 10-15 knots making fishing conditions optimal for all species. With passing cold fronts winds blow from the North making sailfishing excellent.

February-April
Cold fronts in February reinforce sailfish and bottom fishing. March brings East winds stirring up Dolphin, Tuna and Sailfish remaining. April brings mild E-SE winds making great conditions for Sailfish, Dolphin, Cobia and Permit on wrecks.

May-September
The prevailing wind is SE with an average of 10-15 knots, perfect for Dolphin, Billfish, Tuna and Wahoo.
